Double Bass Aquila Deep Red Guts - Anyone tried them yet?

Okay, looks like it's been a little over a year. Does anyone else have any feedback on these strings? One of my basses has responded well to Red Springs, but I'd like something bowable...

I tried them briefly on a friend's bass. Good feeling for pizzicato. Didn't like with the bow at all, but I'm not used to bow on gut strings.

They bow fine. If you can bow gut strings. Shifting feels pleasant, because the surface is very smooth. Be careful with white bow hairs though, the colour bleeds a bit. For me, a downside is, that they are only available as D and G. I prefer plain gut A. Lets see, if Aquila answers my request for a plain A someday....
FWIW, i use Nyman and a Carbow naturbow.
