I have been looking into getting a new cabinet, or a few new cabinets, to replace my David Eden 210. I have been looking at getting something of equal or better quality but much more lightweight. I recently saw a few GK Neo enclosures and I was intrigued by them, and their low price. Since then, I have been wondering if they would be suitable for professional use. Does anybody have any opinions on them?

Double Bass Are GK "Neo" Cabinets Suitable For Professional Use?

Well I don't know if I qualify as a "professional" but I gig regularly with a GK Neo 212. It sounds great and I have had no issues with it. The only negative I have heard from others is that sometimes the metal grill will rattle. Usually that is easily fixed by tightening some screws or making sure the GK logo badge is fastened securely.
I've been gigging with a GK 210 Neo (30 lbs) and a tiny GB Shuttle 3.0 amp for several months now, including large rooms & an outdoor stage. The little speaker box puts out a ton of volume when needed, yet sounds very clean.
I do also patch into the PA to help in the bigger places, but the 210N is a real keeper for only $299. and is capable of just about any workingman's gig. Makes a perfect fit with the new lightweight class D amps. Gotta love anything that is small, light, cheap, and lets my old Kay wail.
It sounded really clear and nuanced at a big street dance at pretty high volume. It let me sound like a real Upright Bass and not just loud boomy bass thuds.

I have a few pro friends who play GK Neo cabs...the 412 is my favorite for upright...kinda big cab though 
Greeting: FYI-I own the GKNEO 112-sounds great w/the GK MB-200, also have the Ampeg PF350-Have gigged w/my UB & EUB-& the Fishman Platinum Pro EQ
Obviously, you can get 2 cabs to use the amps to their full power,or get a larger Cab & more powerful amp in you need more volume.

I have gigged with 2 of the Neo 112 II cabs with an iAMP800 many times. They handled it quite well. Stage volume with that particular band was pretty loud.
