I was once and am still a bit of a nerd, but not really traditional type of stuff more gun nut, ww2, medieval warfare, viking type of nerd stuff...but I grew out of it (some people call em "buffs" I guess)

My realization was when i had a 20 minute conversation about Star Trek and that TOS is superior to all... Realizing what i was talking about for 20 minutes showed me who i really was and made me a sad panda.

I gave up on the disguise :scowl: it never fit me very well, and besides it interferred with the view of the tape holding my glasses together.

And can ANYONE tell me why ALL the alien races that the Federation starship Voyager encounters in the DELTA quadrant encounters routinely uses "parsec" as an astronomical measurement? Think about it: what is the origin of that measurement/reference and you'll see the obvious flaw that the Star Trek writers think we will not catch.
