Double Bass are you crazy?!

That's excellent. Here's one back at you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gcz9N3Xwac&feature=youtu.be
I'm trying to get my band to play it in 7/4 all the way through. So far, it's been a train wreck but maybe the light will shine. I think I'll try it once more this weekend and if it doesn't go, I'll give it a rest.

Yes! Thanks for that...they sound like they play "7" comfortably. (!)
I think there is also a Brad Mehldau Trio version in 7/4, if I recall.

I agree that they seem to be very comfortable with the 7/4 sig. Not my band. I've got it, but the other cats aren't shedding it enough to make it work so I'll probably set it aside to a while, as I said before.
I have heard some of Meldau's (sp?) different time sigs too and some of it a like quite a bit. I think Dave Holland makes it very musical and natural too.
All the Things also works well as a 6/4 waltz IMO. I've tried it in 5/4 too and I don't feel it very well there, but the tune really has legs.
