I though the older full scale artcore played great....and apparently the new PUs are awesome. That original full scale artcore may just have been a year or two too early in the semi-hollow renaissance (spelling ?)

I love the idea of the single cut BTB but it just looks wrong the way they've done it.

Yeah, I've been kicking around the idea of a BTB 6-string as a backup to my main 6-string (Modulus), and I've always really dug the look of most boutique singlecut basses, so the notion of a singlecut BTB just seemed so promising

...but holy crap, if ever a bass deserved the "Thar She Blows!" title...

10.5 is potentially a healthy weight cat, if its a good size. I have one at 11 and another at 12 that are both trim, athletic murder beasts.

2014 is a little dissapointing, honestly. New SC BTB is cool, but the ATK news is meh, and the rest of the BTB lineup is unchanged.

I'm an ATK guy, but I was hoping to see a black one/maple neck or even deep/vampire red. Instead, more of the natural wood grains. I don't mind them, but they aren't the look I want/need.

Agreed. They needed to sweep the middle piece of wood, so it doesn't look like it's extending out at an angle from the fingerboard.
