Well i left my fender p bass at home on a recent gig and played my squier jazz. Alot of people talked to me after since it was at my school . One guy said great tone and nice playing. Than he looked at my bass in the most disgusted face "wow a squier nothing personal but i am way beyond playing one of those" I asked ok what do you play than he replied " a wine red MIM jazz with an upgraded pearl guard" hahaha i tried not to laugh my a$$ off. I mean come on i was playing a Classic Vibe squier probably better than his MIM but whatever, that was the biggest gear snobbery i have ever ran into.

are you to good to play a squier?

When I was in High School, I would have been VERY happy with one of todays Squiers. Let your bass do the talkin and don't worry about the naysayers 
In plain and simple English.....people like that are A-Holes! I had no problem leaving my Sadowsky basses home while I took my Squier bass to a gig!
No such thing as "too good" to play a certain bass, IMO. A good player can make pretty much any bass sound good.

When I was in high school, I did play a Squier. I was too good for it in my own mind. I upgraded sooooo far to an MIM P-Deluxe. (
) Then I bailed on the P Deluxe. I HATED it. Bad feel, terrible tone. Got an MIM Jazz. Liked the tone, hated the feel. Traded that. Got a Squier VM Jazz fretless, loved it! I love my SX too. 
My main player guitar is a Squier. I've been offered an MIA strat for it because of how well it plays and sounds (with 3 different eras of pickup upgrades under it's belt). My other main guits are a Ric 360 and '74 Gibson SG.

I didnt care hat he thought i love my fender and i love my squier they both get equal play. I am not one to put people down but i could play starter pack bass and be better than that kid he cares more about gear than playing

Nope, my main stick is a '08' MIA Fender Jazz V, but I also own a Squier FVM Fretless. Seriously thinking about picking up a Squier Active Jazz 5'er.
