I'm smart enough to play a Squier. Most of the people I see complaining about them in the shops are very mediocre players who think that they can use expensive gear as a substitute for years of practice and performance.

Haha yea , most basses just need a good set up .

Ain't that the truth! Especially when an instrument set up at 98% humidity is shipped to a store with 20% humidity and left on a rack for a few months.

I was thinking about it, but my music teacher told me you have to be preettyyy good to do an upgrade like that, and, well, I don't think that I'm ready..
