Argument about output power on Facebook!

A guy is selling a Markbass LMIII and advertised it as 600w. I replied that Markbass never made a 600w amp especially the LMIII. He is swearing he has a rare version made in Italy model and shows me the electrical sticker on the back. It does say 600 watts but I tell him that is an electrical spec. Not the output power of the amp. I even linked him to the Markbass website page showing the output specs for the amp. The dude is adamant that it's 600w!

Some folks. I tried to help.

It just says “Power 600W”. It’s not next to the IEC jack, so there is ambiguity.

Wow, learnt something new.
I didn't know that figure could be the audio output.

That would have saved me buying that Subway amp.

Now if I could just find the input and speaker out...

:)

I’m waiting for the internet connected toaster that has DRM and a monthly number of slices subscription plan. Basically what printers are trying to do now.

No problem getting you back home in time but unfortunately South Of The Border has been torn down.

And rightly so... several years ago, I ordered a burrito for dinner.

Not only did I get the burrito, I also was surprised to see they threw in part of a bag the meat came in, with the staple securing it.

They didn't bat an eye when I told them I didn't think that was part of the entree.

S.O.B., indeed.

Maybe a buyer will make a deal for the amp & then back out due to misinformation about the power output. The seller will claim 600w output and the buyer will insist on a picture of the amp with a wattmeter attached showing 600 watts. The seller will attempt to provide the picture and smoke the amp with the effort….

My 62 Olds would, and then some.
We have lived with 142, 245 Volvos most of our early life.
I bought a 1964 2 dr hardtop Impala with a 327 300 horse engine. I and my teens at the time, got in it for a ride. Son says "lets open it up!" In no time we got up to the 120 mark and it had more to give.
Scared us to death, well not really, as we are still here :)
