How does one tell how many of anything is left on Rondo's site?
I must be missing something.

I actually really like it. Both my other basses are 6ers, but I needed a 4 banger for a few songs that require drop c tuning. The neck is super skinny at the nut, but a little thicker and rounder than a jazz so it doesn't feel too tiny. Sounds pretty decent through my rig.
Immediate plan is to shim the neck and replace the tuners. I've got the truss rod pretty tight right now, I threw a .050-.115 set of strings on it to prevent floppiness at that low tuning. Later I'll probably drop a couple of Duncan quarter pounders in it and install a new nut.

The story on that is, I was on the road and had it shipped to a friend in Memphis. I picked it up on my way through town and was restringing and adding the straplocks in the hotel room before a gig. Didn't bring a drill.
The Dunlop strap buttons are recessed deeper than the stock buttons, so to be able to tighten them enough I had to keep the stock ones on as spacers for the time being. This will be fixed before I hit the road again.

Question....can you feel the grain of the body? Looking at it the grain seems pretty pronounced.

You can feel it, but I haven't noticed it while playing. The neck has the same finish, but the grain runs vertically so it doesn't feel bumpy. The whole bass actually feels remarkably smooth. From the site I thought it would be sandblasted/stained like some of the Ritters I've seen, but it appears to actually be some kind of paint.
Yarr, mine came today too!! These things are amazing for sure I didn't know they are in such short supply.... I'm glad I got one when I did.
