Artcore Club

Here we are.
I have been on the hunt for this baby since the moment I learned of its existence, more than years ago. While waiting, I also defretted an AGB200, but it didn't sound as I was expecting.
AFB200F is a dream.
Hope you all love it too.
Bases on the Serial Number this is a 2008 model built by Samick for Ibanez. I’ll have to look in a 2008 catalog for this!

Sweet!!!!

Very little written about it. Only one sentence.

Have you been here to show it off too?

For AFB owners… which flats are you using? I’m having trouble finding flats that fit. I’m not wanting to wrap a flat with 38” wound length around g string tuner… at least at current prices.

edit: so far pyramids fit. Labellas are risky due to g string tuner (which sucks. I love labellas).

Remember that the trapeze piece necessitates longer scale length to accommodate the longer winding length.

I know. I measured the wound length a few posts back. My issue is that with standard scale strings too much wraps around the g string tuner. Thus my question. Initially labella said standard would be fine, but when I clarified on the g string, they don’t fit (and their medium scale are .25” short!). I don’t mind paying more for strings that last, but not for strings that break.

Different brands have different specs. Maybe something other than lebella? Mine already had flats on it, so I can't help you, but I think I recall that they have blue silks?

I know...like I said, not a "giveaway" price but certainly a very fair price. I was tempted to buy it and just hold onto it but I had to ask myself why I really needed another ASB140. I don't...LOL.

I'm actually surprised it's still there.
That case is extremely hard to find. They still sell them with the same model number, but the new ones only fit the ASB180.

Hi guys! I joined this forum SPECIALLY to find an Ibanez AGB205 DVS 5 string model to use it a High C instrument. Since I'm in a Trio where I'm the only string dude (drums & sax) sometimes chords and high register melodies are needed on my arrangements. I'm looking for a hollowbody bass on a low budget range and for my taste, this bass is the only commercial one that has all I need.

Is anybody here wishing to say bye bye to his unused bass? I live in Tokyo - Japan.

Hey Club! Didn't know you were here. I have a 2013 AFB 200 that I gig whenever the venue/group calls for old school thump. May I join?
