I was lent an Ashdown ABM 900 EVO ii amp a month or so ago and for some reason I still can't find the tone i'm looking for. I've seen the roster of who is currently using this model and it's very impressive, so i'm a little irked as to why I can't find the right tone. I'm using a Ampeg 4x10 cab and use a 4001 rickenbacker bass. The low end is great but no matter what I do I can't get a bright sound. Should I trade for an Ampeg svt series head or keep searching for the right tone?
Any comments, advice would be greatly appreciated.
