I have a MAG300 and play a poorly setup rental URB through a K&K Bassmax PU, and to get a decent tone, I would have to turn the mids way down and the bass to about 1/3 turn. The D would have terrible overtones. However, the poor setup on the URB makes it so that I can't put the PU through the wing and have to use the heart to kinda wedge the PU in. Not good... I'll update once I buy my Shen from Upton in about a month.

I might be trading my Mag300 for a Kustom GrooveBass 1200HD. Is this a good idea for DB sound? I think I will start a new thread.
