ashdown amps !?

Hi !
a year ago I bought an ashdown mag 115, I think it has a great tone ... But when I took it to a friend I noticed there was something rolling around in my cab. Today, I decided to open it and I found a crushed ping pong ball in it.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I'm very disapointed in ashdown engeneering ! :rollno:

Back in the early 80's, our guitarist had a Peavey Bandit combo.....
Anyway, he found it had a nice distortion. Turns out there was a nut sitting in the rear of the cone, buzzing away when the volume got up there.
Then it sounded even better after, playing cricket in the prac room once, he slogged the ball straight thru the open back of the cab, right thru the speaker cone. Never fixed it, never sounded better! :-)

I bought an ashdown after eight (no there were no free mints before anyone asks) second hand and apart from a lot of fluff and dirt it came with some free flyers for some club somewhere, a small plastic ruler and a button badge.

The badge read "Give the police a hand - beat yourself up".

The amp sounds nice I was surprised. I only bought it because I wanted something cube shaped lol. The treble was a bit hissy though but my TL audio dual valve comp sorted that right out and for an impulse buy its sounds pretty sweet.

I've heard of people finding dead rats, hornet's nests, and all manner of debris in their cabs. It's those damn ports! Maybe Johnny A from Staind is onto something being against ported cabs ;)
