Ashdown CTM-30 “Little Stubby”

That's unfortunate. I've had the exact opposite experience across the past decade with a pair of UK ABM heads. No failures over hundreds of hours at dozens of venues. Luck of the draw.
I've been an Ashdown user for over 10 years. they have gone down in quality. had 2 abm 500s fail, under warranty, and ashdown didnt want to honor the warranty. sweetwater did. I still use my abm 500 rackmount as my main head. but the sub harmonic stops working and the di has died. the di died on the other 2 as well. they always lived in rack cases. my UK made ashdowns are great. Chinese made with plastic hardware. no way.

I only say this because i was a touring musician, and depended on my gear. dollar for dollar, there is better.

I don't own one, but the specs and photos do indicate a DI.

Perhaps you're looking for an XLR? DI's don't have to use XLR.
