Ashdown Evo III Footswitch Problem

I just bought an Ashdown FS-2 footswitch for my Evo III 500 head. I've been fiddling around with it trying to set up the footswitch, but whenever it is plugged in, it turns on both the valve drive and the octave, but the effect won't turn off. It appears that the footswitch makes the effects always on. Is there any reason to this? I want to be able to turn them off with the footswitch, but it won't turn off... Anyone experience anything like this???

Did you try pushing those buttons on the amp itself? I can't remember exactly but they need to be either on or off on the amp for footswitch to work.

Yes I've tried keeping all the buttons out and connecting the footswitch. When I turn the amp on, the valve drive and octave become always on effects. I also tried keeping the buttons out and the same thing happens

Could it be that I purchased the footswitch to the older models like the Evo II? The graphics look different on my footswitch than they do on the Ashdown website

Hello and yes, you do need the FS-4 four way footswitch for the ABM III model.
