The Funk Face was such a disappointment. When I got mine, one of the sides' LEDs was stuck on all the time, and the filter side was not only nonadjustable in frequency (unlike a bassballs with the trims, which it was the same type of curcuit as), but was set at a range that could barely even be heard with bass. And when I brought these two items up to Ashdown, their reply was not a whole lot more helpful than a simple "pound sand, buddy".

I have always been disappointed and underwhelmed by Ashdown stuff. This makes no exception.

Yeah ... clearly the guy demoing this isn't using it in the way people would expect it to be used. Nothing against the demo but it leaves much to be desired. It's clear there are some cool features to the dual distortions but we need more. Hopefully someone else who has one can make a demo for us all. Or everyone can pitch in and fund one for me and I'll make one... A guy can dream right?
Well that wasn't helpful. Maybe it's one of those, "sounds terrible solo but great in the mix" kind of things
It's not like his playing was even doing the thing any favors. Honestly despite my initial excitement this might go down as the worst drive pedal and marketing launch ever.
i love Ashdown gear, but I always felt like their demos and marketing have been sub par, and that’s putting it nicely.
I dig Take Me As I Am, but yeah, probably not the most useful demo of this pedal. It sounds good in the demo on the first page, but not $435 smack-a-roos good.
Meh given the way it sounds in DT records and live, that's not good. His is possibly the worst bass tone ever.
I'm a fan of Ashdown gear as well. Myungs sound with DT has typically been really good IMO. Not that I count myself as a DT fan. It just isn't for me. He started off with a Pearce BC-1 which is an amazing piece of gear.
