Ashdown Mag 300 head

I'm in the market for a cheaper head ($300-ish), and I was just wondering if the Mag 300 is a decent option. I've heard good things about them, but its always good to have more feedback. Thanks!

I use one as my primary amp and I really like it. These is a decent amount of headroom and volume for a 300watt amp and I really like the tone.

They are very adequate for practice and versatile enough for many styles. Plus the $ is right.

I too was recently looking at the Ashdown and I suggest you comare it to a GK Backline 600 also. They are competing heads at the same price point.

I was going to get the GK but came into a little extra money and walked-out with a Markbass 102P combo, but, I really liked the sound of the GK.

Also, if you read posts within the Perfect Bass forum here in TB I think you can swing a good deal!

i owned both the Mag and a GK backline 600.....personally i would go with the GK.
