I agree. When you asked them, the dimensions they gave you were WRONG. They didn't ask you to measure it, because it might be the slightly larger version, they gave you the wrong dimensions.

No, I get it, you relied on the information that was given.
And I get your situation is different in that the item in question was not in your possession at the time of the decision to order a custom made case for it. I get all of that, still, and I get it's a personal quirk of mine but, I wouldn't have left it to chance. Even if I measure it and found the dimension were correct, it would have been one less thing to go wrong or worry about, in ordering a custom-made case.
I hope the case company sees the situation as they also relied on the specs sited and rebuild a new case for you.
That or Ashdown steps up and pays for the rebuild.

When you buy a case, YOU have the responsibility of specifying the dimensions. The case company built what you asked for. They're off the hook. Published dimensions on the web can even state the shipped box dimensions on many sites, or can change with multiple production runs of gear.
The bottom line is that the case that was delivered will fit SOME examples of your amp. You don't have an example that it fits. You really should have measured it.
If the case company accepts it back and and restocks it as a "V1" version of the case, that's great, but they really don't have to. I've ordered many Tuki covers and Calzone cases for gear, and have always verified dimensions.

The case company asked what amp I had and built it accordingly. How was I to know they never built one of theses. they went off the web site measurements. As far as versions go this was the only Version as the amp just came out in the early part of this year. As for measurements they came right from the manufacturer. I just ordered a cover for my amp as well from Tuki and it fit like a glove. And I didnt give them nothing but the model number. Could it be they did the research on measurements as a good business is supposed to do? I dont see how ths in any way is my fault.
Have you spoken with the case manufacturer? If not perhaps you could call them and ask if they can help you out in any way.

I sent a letter ro ashdown and will call the case people Tomorrow. Though I believe its not there fault. Maybe they can give me a break on another one. We will see.
I guess at least try to talk to the case company. Maybe they'll discount a replacement.. Quite a few times I've measured combos and cabs that didn't match the specs on dealer or brand websites. Once, I ordered a padded slipcover for a cab before I received it. It didn't fit the dimensions published on the cab's website. The slipcover maker remade one for me no cost..

Ok I talked with the case company and they are making me a whole new case at there cost. The customer service is outstanding. I never thought it would be this easy.

Someplace on any manufacturers publishing there will be a disclaimer that "specifications are subject to change without prior notice." This is standard stuff.
The fact that "you didn't have time" to do your due diligence on a custom case is no one's responsibility but yours. The specifications YOU provide to the case maker who I absolutely know has on their site someplace; "measure your item carefully and DO NOT rely on published dimensions that are subject to change."
A thing called "the Onus" is on you. It is your responsibility to not be irresponsible, pop on the interwebs and grab a set of numbers (that could be different yesterday than today) and send them to the custom manufacturer to create the case for the amp in your possession (even if two states away). It's called putting your big boy pants on and not trying to put your sh*t off onto others.
The weak link in the process is you!

That's funny. They agreed with me. They made the mistake not me. And yes I gave them a wonderful pitch. The trouble was not me taking the measurements it was there lack of putting the right measurements on the web site. It all worked out for everyone. So save your drama for someone that really gives a crap.
