That headstock looks like it’s an inch thick . I guess you’ve already seen if you can move the bridge over a bit I suppose.

I was searching around for pics of the bridge and found this-it’s essentially identical down to the misalignment of the stop and the G saddle. Issue for me (seeing this) is placement of the deep E string slot.

Man, that thing is simply fantastic. I would absolutely gig that bass.

You might even be able to get the neck straightened. Yeah, I know; people will say “It’s not worth it on that bass.” Nonsense! If you dig the instrument, it’s worth it. I think Warpedneck.com, which has a great reputation, only charges about 75 clams. These days shipping would probably cost more than that.

If you get the neck straightened and fix the bridge alignment, I’ll bet that little bass will play better than it has any right to. A serious sleeper!

Simplest tailpiece ever . A replacement wooden bridge for that would be easy to make and you could get the string placement right.
If I lived in your country I’d make you a new blank or at least send you a piece of appropriate wood to make one yourself. Any hardwood could do. Alternatively, you could chisel or plane that top part down a bit and pin and epoxy a piece of bone or metal over top and file the string slots. If you take your time and are careful, you can use a $4 round conical file from a hobby shop to make your slots and “lap in” the slots with old strings and an abrasive like toothpaste or rubbing compound. I have literally done this several times myself. I’m not buying expensive files to use once every few years.
To move the bridge over 3-4 mm would be difficult to get the existing holes plugged and new holes drilled perfectly.
