I received this bass in late 2011 and not much has changed, aside from the strings. I did put a Stellartone ToneStyler in it and never swapped the knob back. It's essentially a '70s P-bass with a '60s Jazz neck and it's ridiculously comfortable to play. I can honestly say I still want another bass from Dan, but it'll never happen unless I find a used one. Down the road, I'm hoping someone wants to offload a Jazz (preferably black and maple), or a PJ (pretty sure he built one or two).
This bass has been through a lot with me. On the road, in the studio, sweaty jam spots, gross bars and basements... It's had booze spilled on it and someone probably puked on it. Oh, the joys of touring in punk bands.
Through the years it's mostly had GHS Pressurewounds or flats on it and stayed in standard tuning. It's currently in Eb and I've been having fun with Van Halen and some old metal records (Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Slayer). Incredible tone, both acoustically and through amps.
EDIT: You can see how much the color changed over the years. It was originally Olympic White with a nitro finish.
