Hey guys! I'm a student at Oglethorpe university in Atlanta. I live in McDonough during the summers though, still pretty close by.
Oh... somewhere on here is a Halo Bass thread. The guys from Halo sent me a bass to review. It's not one of their custom models, but it's a PJ with Nordstrand pickups. I sent Jeff an e-mail telling him that I would bring it so you guys could report on your thoughts... that is... if you want to try it out.
Well, I could have managed June but not July, but now it appears both dates are off the board. Have to see what August offers.
I haven't been to one of these since the nineties, when JMT used to host TBL "BoLs" at his place off Route 78. The protocol then was that we'd each bring drinks/snacks for the communal munch
and a couple of basses to impress/horrify the assembled masses. I'm sure things have changed since then. Anybody care to update me to the current etiquette?

I talked with Jeff at Halo Guitars. I really want to ship this guitar back to their shop, but want as many local players to play it and give their opinion.
We can meet at on of the MANY guitar centers and take over their bass room. I can plan more than 1 trip...

Lawrenceville is closer, but I've never visited the GC in Athens. I'd much rather go there! Anyone else UP? Tell me when?
There is nothing special about the Athens store. It is a small satellite store. I was disappointed first time I did the drive.
.Seems like that's about good to me. I was either gonna slap some food on the green egg or order some pies from a great local place. Of course folks can bring food, beer whatever. Basses, effects & if anybody has some newer micro amps with some Berg's or Greenboys! I'd really like to hear a GK fusion or something of that nature. But hey if you've got something to spotlight then by all means load it up. My load in is very easy.
I'd like to schedule something early August that would accommodate everybody. So if there are any blackout dates in August for anyone let me know.
I've also acquired some new toys lately that should be fun for people the check out. Also if anybody has a Babershop bring it. You'll be very interested in comparing it to my Beta and Dave Hill's 3BOD.

A heads up on the gig tonight at 550 Trackside; there is a $20 cover, and they offer a taco bar for and additional $10. Cash bar.
