attachments in PMs

I'm trying to send a 7-page pdf file to some TBers and there's no attachment icon in PM (the little paperclip). Also in the regular thread reply window there's a 500 K file limit. This particular pdf is 1.2 Meg. 500 K is pretty small given the resources the files have been created with.

Any workaround other than taking it off forum and going through email?

You might be able to reduce the size of the PDF in your PDF viewer/editor, or try compresing/zipping it and see if that makes it smaller.
