First off, I'm relatively new to digital recording. I've always relided on the old analog 4 track. Anyway, I've recently downloaded Audacity to mess around with. First thing I noticed was when trying to layer some bass and guitar tracks that the timing would get way off. I used to have ACID 2.0 and I remember the same thing happening with that. Any ideas there?
Second question is when I set the source to record the wav in (i think it's called) it records at a slower tempo. Example, I tried recording some lessons and a few live songs from youtube or from myspace. It appears to record at the correct tempo but on playback it is slowed down. I did see an option to "play at normal speed" and this works well but I'm not able to save it or more importantly, convert it to mp3 at "normal speed". Has anybody else ran into a similar problem?
Thanks !
