i was once told that THAT was the difference between religious music and rock music...clappin on the 2/4 was evil or something like that..

im not really a religious fanatic..so..who knows.
There is always clapping going on at our shows. We have a few songs with breaks where the band claps in unison, so that helps break the ice, but nobody is going to clap if they aren't feeling it. Unless maybe if they feel very sorry for you.
Try clapping to a death metal song.....
I can't clap that fast!! If I could I'd be a better drummer.
