Double Bass Audio technica Pro 35 vs ATM 350

I would like to get comments on the Audio technica Pro 35 vs ATM 350 microphones. I've used the Pro 35 for about a year but wondered if the ATM 350 is a better microphone for an upright bass. I'm using the Pro 35 on an American Standard with G & D Guts, A & E Rotosounds.

The research I did on this exact comparison a few years back led me to conclude that they were totally different mics, and that the ATM350 was the better choice. So I bought one. I tried it in many situations, with a variety of preamps that mixed a piezo with the mic, and never found a way to make it work for me. At any reasonable stage volume I had too much bleed and/or feedback. YMMV.

You might look into the AMT mic for bass. I've had mine for over ten years and it's been incredibly useful for all situations. It is my main go to for most situations without and amp and I also use it to send to front of house for large venues when I use an amp. I find the rejection to be pretty good and it always enhances the sound.
