Audition/Rehearsal 1.5 hr drive?

If 3 hour round trip there's no way I'd personally do that prospecting a band unless they were already organized and had gigs booked and ready.

from the part of the city i live in i have to drive about an hour or take a bus which takes longer for most jams and gigs etc it sucks but i have to live with it. driving in the traffic is exausting too

It costs about 50 cents a mile to drive a car. I'm guessing its at least 50 miles away. That means every practice is costing you $50. Something to conisder.

Yeah, it's a 3hr round-trip at about 140 miles total. That would set me back about $75 each week. That really sucks because these cats are good. The singer is new, but she has pipes and the drummer and I clicked. I may be able to carpool with the singer so that's a possibility. I had my audition today and they said the job is mine if I want it. They had played with another bassist before me and claimed I was a much better fit. It's great because this was my first time playing bass with absolute strangers. The fact that they didn't find me to be a complete amateur was a great confidence boost haha

if you and the singer are both from the area is there a possibility that you or her could host some of the practices at some point....

I put in a 60 mile drive (120 round trip). If the music is good then its worth it, if the music isnt doin it for ya its not worth it. Right now we are on hiatus looking for a singer.
