Austin bass brothers and sisters!
I'll be in Austin June 18 (Mon) through 20.
Last year when I went there were some good blues jams (Beerland, Dozen, Original Po' Boys).
Those seem to have stopped.
Are there any venues that have jams on Mon, Tues, or Wed night?
I'll bring a bass, would love to play.

I'm not into the blues jam scene here, but The Electric Church has a Wed night jam most weeks. Ostensibly, it is a "psych rock" jam, but 75% of the time it is just 12-bar jams with lots of reverb and delay. They are very encouraging of all skill levels, so the quality of players can vary greatly.

Only other one I know is Skylark, which hosts a Thurs night jam, but that doesn't help you.

I’d forgotten about the jam at Anderson Mill Pub. I’ve never been to it but for a place way out in the ‘burbs they can book some pretty good bands. They can also get a surprisingly wide variety of genres there, too.
