Of course someone's pimping the idea that "vintage" U5s sound better than new ones. It's the conventional narrative. On the internet, older is always better than newer and possesses some magic mojo--except when dealing with something brand new and expensive. if it's brand new and expensive, it's better. For six months. Then it just is, until say five years have passed--then the older ones are better. You can practically set your watch by it.
