I've seen alot of TB'ers recommending Avatar Cab's, I've looked at the specs of the B410 Neo and I have to say that I am impressed at the amount of wattage that thing can get...I have 2 questions, for those of you who own the B410, I was wondering what kind of head you are running with it and what all kind of tone you can get out of these speakers (ampegs only give you that ampeg tone...etc)?

Maybe a search didn't reveal what he was looking for.
I used an Avatar Delta setup for a long time. They seemed to take on the character of the head used with them. Uncolored with a Peavey, growly with a GK, warm with an Ampeg, harsh with a Crate.
I had a 212 and a 210, but sold them along with the Peavey in an effort to shed excess weight. I'm also contemplating a Neo 410, or two smaller cabs (112 or 210).

i have the Avatar 4x10 Neo. Its so light and portable, i love it!
I run the Gk 1001 RBII head through it and it sounds amazing. when i hit my low B string its as if you were punched in the stomach.

I run an Eden WT330 as a preamp to a Carvin DCM2500 to two Avatar 410Neo 4 ohm cabs, at 850 watts per cab. Absolutely creamy. Bgavin did a real world outdoor check on them. they have a big dip at 2500hz, that can be EQed out, if you wish to. They are great cabs. Nice and light and powerfull. Really like mine.

I have got a 210 Neo and 112Low; I don't think they make that particular 112 anymore. Not sure why, it is a great 112 cab. If I am going to use just one cab I go for the 112. I play fretless with a Demeter HBP-1 and Behringer 1500 amp. If I really need the volume I plug in the 210. Rich and full. One or both cabs there is NO slop. Very defined tone.
how much does the 410 neo weigh? I've looked around and have been unable to find any sort of weight listing
I've been curious about this too. Can anyone who's used their 1x12 cab speak to how well it can handle a low B on a 5 string?

I'm really looking to get one of the B410Neos eventually to replace my Avatar B410...sure my B410 has casters, but loading a 95-100lb cab into the back seat of my car is a royal pain to do.

I have a question regarding the avatars and didn't really wanna start my own thread so if I may hijack for just a second... I'm considering using my Fender bassman 250 as a monitor/pre and DI to a QSC RMX850/two B212s or RMX1450/two B410s. Does this sound like a viable set up, and would it be better to get them as 8ohms/cab and bridge them into 4 on the amp or get them in 4 each and run them as a stereo pair? This would give me either 280ea/830bridged for the 850 or 450ea/1400br w/the 1450.
I'm relatively new to this Head/Cabinet business, is it a bad idea to run a head that has less RMS wattage rating than the cabinet?
It's not a bad idea. it just means you'll be able to push your amp without really pushing the speakers hard. This generally means that your speakers are going to sound more clear overall because they won't be nearing their "saturation" level.
