Does anybody know why they quit making the cabs with the 15's in them? I love the sound of a 15 inch speaker.
Don't know, but if I ever see one of those older compact 15s, I'm scooping it up in a second

Remeber the sb115???
Well, I was thinking about converting my sb112 into a sb115.
Does anyone know if the port length was different on these two cabs??
It seems all other dimesions were the same.

I contacted Dave at Avatar about doing a sb112 to sb115 conversion and here's what he said:
When I put sb112 cab and port dimensions in WinISD the cab frequency was about 50 Hz which is right around the cab tuning of the old sb115 was (51 Hz and -3db is 64 Hz).
So....
If you get your hands on a Kappa Pro LF 15, you can cut the hole bigger and convert your sb112 into a sb115.
One thing to keep in mind though is the gasket is thicker on the Kappa, so you'll have to get thicker grill mounting hardware. The ones used on the avatar b210 work for this (I did this before converting a BH115 neo to a kappa speaker). Or you can just stack some washers under the rubber mounts to raise the grill higher.

Decided to "down size" a little this time................I went with two B210 Neos in Blue ! The color is very cool in person. The 210s are more portable, and I like the sound of them better than a single 410. I think the cabinet volume (size) gives it more of a "punch". There are more cubic feet in the 2 x 210 over the single 410. It also makes them handy to move around, or just use one cabinet ...............Having the second horn tweeter is not so bad either

Decided to "down size" a little this time................I went with two B210 Neos in Blue
I was wondering if you or any other users of two B210 Neos play a 5 string? I find a single B210 Neo unable to handle the Low B string on its own. Is this problem overcome with 2 two B210 Neos cabinets as it seems to be with a single cabinet with 4 inside?
Obviously, I have not owned this Avatar combination very long, but so far, so good! I have not noticed that they can't handle the "low B" of my Fender Jazz V.............In fact it actually sounds very clear
! I am using a Genz-Benz GBE 1200 Head, so it is not like I am under powering the cabinets 
! However, I have not tried this combination at a high volume, for a long time period yet...........But I don't expect any issues !That is exactly the same setup I am going for, except a 112. Lovin the YBA200!

Maybe, I don't know if there would be enough room for a 15 with the horizontal port and tweeter in the middle though.
But I suppose you could disassemble the cab, cut a new front panel, move the tweeter, and make the port vertical.
I play 5 string almost exclusively, however I don't use two neo 210's but have one neo 210 paired with a neo 212 and it handles the bass fantastic. I've used just the 210 for practice and it does okay at that volume. My amps a 1001RB just for reference.
So you're running both Avatar cabs at 8ohms? Also, do you run two speaker cables from your amp (one to each speaker) or do you go amp>cab>cab?
I would remove the tweeter all together and rebuild the verticale port, or make it a sealed the cab. Then I would need an empty 410 to put my speakers in.
