I love Avatar! I had an older Avatar b-112, sold it recently, just to slim down the arsenal. I have and use regularly a B-410 Neo, 8 ohm cabinet. I run the harsh tweeter almost off, and that works great. I just don't care for Foster type horns, a very minor point..a Selenium, or paper type horn would be a good upgrade if you need to. I am always surprised how loud and low this cabinet goes. I have reviewed their products on Harmony Central, and all are positive. There isn't a better deal on a bass cabinet anywhere, in my opinion. I recently played a friends Accugroove Whappo jr., and that's a GREAT cabinet, but it costs 3x as much as my Avatar, and live, in a club at 30 feet, who will be able to see or hear the 800 dollar difference? I recently installed pop out casters, and it made a big difference. Get 'em, if you buy one! Dave Noss is about as cool a businessman as there is. The customer service- second to none! The bang for the buck factor makes these cabinets a great choice for anyone tired of shelling out a grand or near that, for a 'name' cabinet that weighs a ton, and really doesn't sound any better than an Avatar Neo. I have been a professional bassist for almost 40 years, yes, I just realized that! - and this is the best 'stand alone' cabinet I have ever had.

I just emailed Dave today with my order. This will be my first cab. I'm getting the NEO B212 8ohm in Orange Tolex. I think that looks cool (or hot I guess) as hell. I haven't heard back from him yet, but when I do speak with him I would like to inquire about pop-out casters. LHbassist, where did you get casters? I'd prefer to go with a recommendation that I know someone has tried already. Thanks.

Just heard from Dave via email. The cab is going in the mail TODAY. Now that's just some of the sickest customer service out there. I'm amped (BAAAAD pun) to get this cab. I will post pics of my rig once it's all set up.

Hi.. I installed my own, Ernie Ball pop outs. I think Dave offers optional pop outs as o.e.m. equipment... if you can, you should get 'em! One GREAT benefit of these is that I pull the just the rear ones out on the gig, and it tilts the cabinet back to just the angle I need to hear the cab better!

I absolutely HATED my Avatar 2x10...

the 10 inch drivers were more fitted for a PA than bass, and it was only DECENTLY made. for $100 bucks more I found a barely used Aguilar GS212 that is heavenly in comparison.

This is the first "bashing" I've seen of Avatar:confused: They are the a great cabinet, regardless of cost:)! I'm guessing you had an older 210, with the original Deltalites, not the newer Deltalite 2 LF speakers.............I love my 210s, both of them:D!

Are you are comparing the GS 212 to your older 210? I think you might feel differently had you played a Neo 212 with the new speakers;)! The B212 Neo rocks, and there are a lot of them out there!
