The thing is... I play guitar as well as bass and have a PA as well so my pile DOES tend to resemble the backroom of a music shop when it is all at home at the same time! I also do electronics repair so there is also other people's stuff that is transient.
This picture was taken a few years ago and the pile is much smaller and looks different now! The main bass rig in the photo has a Korg tuner in the rack (instead of the wireless) and the newer front-ported Avatar B210 in it.
Looks like there is one on Ebay right now. Very bagend lloing 12" cabinet with a tweet.
hey guys! I am not an avatar owner (YET) but I have a question that I felt would be best asked here!
I am looking to add either the 2x12 or the 4x10 avatar cab onto my GK 1x15 (not interested in the 210)
Which would you guys recommend? I love the low end and so I feel like 12's would work along side my 15 better to pump out the deep frequencies.

Had an old Marshall 410 (JCM 800 bass series, bought in mid 80's) with the 15. The neo 212, 15 is tons better!
12's seem just as responsive as my 10s, but loads of punch. I have the horn set at about 10, 10:30 max.

I prefer the sound of the 12's I think, but I am only worried about a 1x15 2x12 rig not pushing enough air.. I can't tell if I need the 4x10.. but the 4x10 is also 1000 watts correct? seems like overkill for my rig, I would only pump 250 watts at 8ohms into it..
i'm using an Ashdown 300 mag (300w @ 4 ohms) into 2 - 8 ohm cabs.
Running gain and volume about 3/4 vs. a guitar Marshall stack (350 watt rig) set at 2 or 3 gain and volume.
Avatar is rated for 600 ohms, mag 115 at 250 or 300, don't remember!
Can hear myself better than with the old 10's. Seems like a louder rig with the same head!

hmm well i certainly think 12's seem like the ideal speaker for my tastes, volume just always scares me... I wish I could try out an avatar cab before i bought one. :|
I don't particularly like the tone from 10's.. I like their PUNCH and tightness but not the tone they give off.. yet I just cant shake the feeling that I need 10's to achieve a decent volume.

Wow, I didn't know this club existed! Count me in. 8 ohm, B212 Neo. I hope to add a 210 or maybe even a 15 sometime in the future. But for now, it's great on it's own.
haha im looking into getting that 212 soon myself, perhaps theres colored tolex in store for me... hmm
If you can luck out and pick up one off of ebay that would be the cheapest way to go. If they're still selling them over there.
