Finally over the last couple of monts i got this set up. An Avatar SB112 Neo and B21o Neo. Including the Genz Benz NeoPak 3.5 and a couple of Bayou Audio cables, the whole set up was under a $1000. I got the SB112 off the scratced, dent overstock list (it was overstock - unused), the B210 was on special and the NeoPak I bought used off a tbere. I amazed by the sound. It is everything I've wanted.

Brown tolex goes well with your bass :D!

Laredo said "Brown tolex goes well with your bass"

I couldn't decide what color to get - blonde brown, orange etc. When I checked the sctratched dented overstock section and saw that there was a SB112 on sale in brown - it made up my mind. Now that I hear that it goes with my bass I am doubly happy. Maybe I should paint the NeoPak beige and brown...

I was really happy with the lowend of the SB112 and when I saved up some more money I got the 210 which just added to the great sound.

Once I start working again an 8 ohms 410 neo in Blue tolex is coming my way :D ( job in a week or so too :p )

Now, should I get another 410 down the road or what? the gear I am looking at is a line 6 PODx3 Pro for pre, power amp, then into the avatar(s)..ya modeling pre amp, get it outta your system before I get the avatar :p

Could someone who owns the 2x10 tell me what the height, width, and depth is of the vent port. I was looking at the frequency response of this cab on WinISD but I do not know the tuning frequency. I can better estimate by having the dimensions.

Out of curiosity I paired my 212 Neo with my 112 Neo last night and was really impressed with the results. Quite a bit fuller in the lows/low mids than my dual 112 pairing, which was to be expected. I'm rejoining one of my former bands and the rehearsal is tonight so I'll get to push the three 12s at near (or at) gig volume. Can't wait.

Those of you that have a 4X10 and a 2X12, is there a real difference in the sound between the two? I've heard that a 4X10 might be crisper on the highs, but is there really a noticeable difference? Just wondering.

The 410 is deeper and louder to my ears. I played both with the same amp setup (RBi+DCM1500) bridged at 1000watts @ 8ohms. The amp would clip with the 212, but the 410 seems louder at a lower gain setting and does not clip. When I crank it, I can sterilize frogs at 300 yards!

Poor froggies! :D That's interesting about the clipping. I have a 2X12, and haven't had that problem, but I generally don't play loud enough to push the amp that far.

do you have the older 212 or the newer one though?

the older ones apparently lacked low end

and Im not suprised youre getting the amp to clip with 2 speakers more than 4 speakers..

My Avatar 212 and 410 are about 3-4 years old now...they are Deltas...and they're killing my back these days! Anyways...my 212 is definitely deeper than my 410....however my 410 has a bit more mid to low mid. They can both crank however! I love the pairing.
