I was going with a red theme for a while, but I sold my red jaguar bass and now my cab stands out like a sore thumb. Anyone want to trade me for a black B210Neo? It's dead mint!

OK, suggestions, please...

I've got an Eden WT-400 (400 WRMS @ 4 Ω , about 235 @ 8 &#937. I've also got two Euphonic Audio VL-208's that sound nice, but are a bit too "polite" for my tastes. I'm looking to make some changes and want a small, portable, and light cabinet. I'm thinking an Avatar 112 Neo would fit the bill for most stuff and would mate nicley with one of my EA cabs.

Or sell both of my EA's and get either a 2x12 Avatar and a 2x10.

What say ye?

BTW, I'm not gigging right now and I don't envision getting in to a loud band again. I used to have an Eden WT-600 driving 300 WRMS into each of an Edend D212XLT and D410XLT (both were 4 Ω boxes).

i'm currently playing thru an old SVTII->810 and i love the sound

in the interest of portability, i'm considering a GB shuttle 6.0 or LMII paired with an avatar neo cab

is the 410 the cab to go with for punch? (as compared to the 212)

No pics yet, but I run an Avatar 4x10 NEO with a GK1001-RBII. I was thinking of pairing the cab with a 2x12 for more low end, but the 4x10 covers it and then some. I actually need to cut the bass on the head quite a bit because the cab has so much low!

That Carvin Amp will do 2 ohms wont it? I think you should ditch the carpetted cab, and get a white cab and a blue one, Then you will have the USA Stack.

I just sold off my Neo 210 and 112 and got in a 4 ohm neo 410 as well (in red). It does sound great and handles my low B very well. The other dual cabinet configuration did a great job but I decided i didn't need to carry 2 cabinets.

I'm using a new GK700RBII and though the Jury is still out on weather I like the sound of this head overall it is a very good combination. I recommend the neo410 to any 5 string user.

I've got the delta non-neo 2x12, which I picked up used. Have a line on a second delta 2x12... Very clean.

Two questions:

1. Aside from weight, is there much difference between the neo and old school avatar 2x12's?

2. Is the new price of the neo 2x12 similar to that for the non-neo delta variant? Didn't know if the shift to neo brought the avatar prices up a bit.

Hey Ive been out of if for sometime as far as playing the bass but now Im back full force. My problem is things have changed so much where amps are concerned. Can one you guys tell me how this amp {Avatar} compaires to the old Acoustics sound wise please?

Dude, you have been away. I was in the same boat six years ago.

Avatar is a company that makes speaker cabinets. They do not make amps. My advice would be to browse the amps forum and read the amp faq's. Then think carefully about what type of music you want to play and in what format (gigging band, bedroom practice), then go from there.

I love Avatar! I had an older Avatar b-112, sold it recently, just to slim down the arsenal. I have and use regularly a B-410 Neo, 8 ohm cabinet. I run the harsh tweeter almost off, and that works great. I just don't care for Foster type horns, a very minor point..a Selenium, or paper type horn would be a good upgrade if you need to. I am always surprised how loud and low this cabinet goes. I have reviewed their products on Harmony Central, and all are positive. There isn't a better deal on a bass cabinet anywhere, in my opinion. I recently played a friends Accugroove Whappo jr., and that's a GREAT cabinet, but it costs 3x as much as my Avatar, and live, in a club at 30 feet, who will be able to see or hear the 800 dollar difference? I recently installed pop out casters, and it made a big difference. Get 'em, if you buy one! Dave Noss is about as cool a businessman as there is. The customer service- second to none! The bang for the buck factor makes these cabinets a great choice for anyone tired of shelling out a grand or near that, for a 'name' cabinet that weighs a ton, and really doesn't sound any better than an Avatar Neo. I have been a professional bassist for almost 40 years, yes, I just realized that! - and this is the best 'stand alone' cabinet I have ever had.

I recently made a dumb mistake, a costly one...When I removed a single 10 to access the bottom inside of the cabinet to install pop out casters, I rewired that one driver out of phase when I re-installed it. Naturally, it blew, took a couple of gigs to do it. I thought it was defective at first, but in hindsight realize that that is what I must have done. Dave Noss sent me a new crossover to replace my older one, and a new 10 Eminence neo for a great price, and now my Avatar is back shakin' Reno stages like the 4.7 we had on April 25 th.! A buddy in L.A. just got one of these, and the inital report is a very good one- he's got a 4 ohm, and is using a Fender (Sunn) 300 pro all tube head. I'll bet that setup just kills. When the budget allows - a 2-12 will be my next cab.

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on which of the following would be a better stand alone cabinet, the 4x10 neo, or the 2x12neo. I play Reggae, Blues, and Funk. I really don't need both, as I don't play out at too many shows. I just want to know which would be the best by itself. Thanks !!
