A guy is selling his SB112. It was purchased in November 2007. I asked him if it had the newer LF Neo with extended XMAX. He wasn't sure. Does anyone know if the newer Deltalite LF was already being used by this production date?

Just spoke to Spencer at Avatar about buying two B210s. I am also looking at a SWR Workingman 700W to drive them. Anyone have any experience with that combination? It gets tricky when the cabs you want are not sold in stores...

Should be a good match. Just get 8 ohm cabs.

Head puts out

700 Watts @ 4 ohms
450 Watts @ 8 ohms

which matches up well with the 500w cabinets.

I have three different cabinets with neo speakers in them. A Mesa Powerhouse 12, a homemade 1-15 small folded horn with an Eminence Deltalite, and my current favorite stand alone cabinet, an AVATAR! Its' a neo B-410. I hear a much more 'musical' sound from neo speakers in all three neo equipped cabs I own, and in others I've tried. I don't know why, but to my ears, the mids sound less harsh than conventional magnet drivers. I've been playing for over 40 years now, and have heard just about everything, owned most of it, too! The Avatar blows away my Acme 4-10, Ampeg 4-10 hlf, GK 4-10, and my original SWR Goliath 1. I finally have a 4-10 cabinet that I actually like! I'm pretty sure if you buy one, you won't be dissapointed.
Remember, if you buy an Avatar, they have a TRIAL PERIOD! if you don't like it, you can send it back.

P.S. This cabinet is seen and heard a lot in the Reno, Tahoe area... a lot of sound engineers and bassists have remarked on its' sound, and some pretty critical players- including my friend Charlie, an EA Accugroove / Schroeder user have sat in, played through it and loved it.

After pondering which additional cabinet to get to go with my existing b210 4ohm, I just ordered an Avatar b212 4 ohm. Both are 500w's and my Stewart World poweramp does 500w each side at 4 ohms.

So seems like a good fit for me. I'll post back with thoughts on how the b212 compares to the b210 once it arrives.

Hook that up to a couple power amps and run your bass through a nice preamp into that and you have the ultimate

RIG OF DOOM.

What the two attached crappy phone pix display is my new (and first) rig, which I have humbly named Street Justice. This config basically came to me in a dream, but some folks on this forum helped work out the kinks and signed off on it generally, so I was able to Buy With Confidence (TM). For that, I thank you.

I promise much classier and graphic bass pr0n in the near future.

I think either cab@4 ohms would be fine and you would have some headroom, but the 410 would be the better match. Also, Why didnt i ever get a #?

I'm considering purchasing either a SB112 or a B210 to replace my Eden D210XLT that I sold several years ago. Can anyone who has heard these cabinets give me an idea of how the Avatars compare to the Eden?
