Average cost to get a fretless fingerboard leveled

Average cost is based on where you live. But average cost of what? Job cost is based on work to be done. Touch up or light truing costs less than eliminating big ruts. If the ruts are big enough, the fingerboard is replaced. That costs more. The first two are less because material cost is negligible. Replacing a fingerboard includes an expensive piece of lumber.

So, what does this guitar need to have done? What are it's problems?

I normally charge $40 to $80 for a simple resurfacing of a fretless bass fingerboard. The whole job is 1-2 hours, including reassembly and setup. That assumes that the fingerboard only has the usual minor lumps and grooves. If the neck has some significant bow or twist, then it gets more expensive.
