Avoid sliding sound during recordings?

let it go. it will get lost in the cymbals and guitars. and if not, notch it 3 dB at a time. 50% less string noise is a BIG difference. you dont have to completely kill it.

I find turning down the treble knob on my Spector just a tiny bit basically takes out any annoying noises. However, usually if i hear noise i just practice the part until its clean.
