I knew it was gonna be, well, less than great when it had a PG-13 rating. C'mong, the two most feared races in the universe, and it's a PGer? It didn't bode well at all.

I agree. I still thought it was pretty good though.

Could've been more violent, and I was okay with the Predator and the woman getting together to get the job done, especially since Brendan okayed it with this apparently badass comic story arc.

The comics, I've noticed, are always better than the movies based off them.

I was okay with the treatment of the Aliens, too. Another poster mentioned that they thought the Predators created the aliens to hunt, and I didn't get that at all. What I understood was that the Predators brough a queen there and found a way to stimulate the laying of eggs, thereby giving them a sort of... king's forest of game for them to come and hunt whenever they needed to get their rocks off or had coming of age ceremonies and whatnot. I'm cool with that.

some one PM me and just tell me if the humans won..if so I am NEVER seeing it. If not I will atleast rent it, if not go to theaters.

I bet they do, I hate how most monster movies end :scowl:

Fine, don't. I just asked for a PM that would take less then ten seconds to write, either: Yes they do or No they don't, but if no one wants to tell me that, then fine :(

I too was really disappointed with this movie. :scowl: I wasn't aware until I bought my ticket that there was a PG-13 rating. That was definately mistake number one. This should not have been a kids movie and unfortunately it was made into one. I was almost hoping that this movie would have treated the humans more as cattle than characters. Which it sort of did only in a very silly and useless way. As it was most of them where killed off before you were even able to learn there characters name or why they were hired to come along in the first place.
I was also hoping they would base the plot actually around the Aliens and Predators, not the humans. Something along the lines of a movie containing subtitles for when the Predators speak. The humans seemed unneeded. Especially if the Predators can be host just like humans are capable of being. I'd simply set the picture on the Predators home world with the aliens somehow escaping containment from the rite of passage ritual and then a full war ensuing over time as the Aliens essentially grow in numbers. More of a destroy or be destroyed type of plot with the preadors seeing the Aliens as a virus type of species that they have lost control over or that has escaped containment. No humans or speech, all dialogue through subtitles. Could have made for a more interesting movie in my mind.

I have recently been hearing rumors of an Alien 5 being in talks with James Cameron once again behind the camera :hyper: as he did for Aliens. Weaver has said she's sign on one more time with the stipulation that it takes place on earth and Ripley finally meets her end for good.

I think I'm REALLY not interested in seeing this movie at all. Maybe they'll adapt it into Universal Studios, and make a ride out of it. I'm sure that would be way more interesting. They could make it like they did with, "The Mummy Returns", or the "Jurassic Park" rise at Universal---more interactive and thrilling.

Just my 2 cents worth........... ;)

Interestingly, the beginning of this movie REALLY reminded me of the original Jurrasic Park. The whole, expert in unreachable locations, suddenly summoned by millionaire via helicopter, for seamingly unrealistic archeological reasons, etc...

If there's a sequel I wanna see Arnold and Sigourney duking it out.

I'm not sure who I'd bet on...
Well you can't be sexist so the woman would have to win to show that they are much stronger, smarter, and alround better at everything then men. :eyebrow:

:scowl: how about hollywood makes a movie somewhat realistic....*Talking in general here*

*not saying women can't be strong, smart or good fighters, my kung fu teacher proves they can be, and sometimes are alot better than most men, but that comes from lots of training/expierence, not just cause she is female and the people watching might be sensitive so...w/e I just hated all those commercials that show a woman doing EVERY thing better than a guy cause they didn't want to be sexist, forgetting that male is a sex too*

Yeah, but if you put Arnold and Weaver in a hand to hand combat, I don't think it would be sexist if Arnold won. Just look at the sheer size difference.
