Awaiting NBD Godin Shifter...talk to me.

I just got a killer deal on a Godin Shifter Bass. Should be here Friday.Though being mostly a traditional bass guy, I have been gassing for a three pickup bass for some time. Limited choices, Found out about the shifter and lucked onto the deal.
I liked the Big Al and Bass Whisperer review, but hate the wonky shape and way out of my price zone. I watched several videos on the Shifter and decided to go for it.
Who wants to tell me how incredible their Shifter is ? I'm psyched !

I don't have a Shifter and maybe this isn't an issue with all of them, what I have seen on my short researching of the bass...

I've been attracted by the look and sound of this bass just within the bast day or two, but I found a video by a guy who got a Shifter bass brand new, but there were some things wrong with it right away.

Rather than tell you what I think, just watch this video. He ends up saying it's a great bass, but what he had to do to get it "great" seems unreasonable... plus watch the part where he takes off the neck:



I'm not a technician, though... I certainly don't want to have to take a new bass I just bought apart to get it to play and set up reasonably.
