awesome fuzz pedals not based on a muff??

Nice little thread that sort of boxes up the current pedals into their derivants. Now I understand why I like the Depth Charge and B:assmaster and hate the Wooly Mammoth and the Frantone thing.

But my favorites so far are based on the Superfuzz. Damn, it's a drag grygrx quit making those Tentacle Love pedals. That one has everything you'd ever need. I grossly overestimate my current or future needs for a fuzztone when I already have a VT and a Rat, but I'm getting sucked into the fuzz vortex. Too bad they're so expensive!

MXR Bass Blowtorch. Has a mid control with 3 different eq's...I have the mid knob maxed on the middle choice, the treble maxed and the bass about 1 o' clock (because more isn't necessary). I love the BIT Legend of Fuzz after a MXR Delux Octave, control about 3pm and volume about 8:30am because that sucker is loud! This combo makes a blissful fart-like sound. Musically inspiring.

Robot Factory made them, and I think they'd make another, though small scale is one reason they were as pricey as they were.

Blowtorch = its own family. I miss it. sure i only used it in one song, but nothing else sounds right now.

while we're kinda on the subject, the MXR El grande was based on a 'classic 70s fuzz' - anyone know which one?

Also, im sick of muff-based pedals (although i still have a black russian) - but im loving the Colorsound Tonebender. Its very similar to the muff, but it seems to have more bass :)

I would say super sawtooth bordering on syth-like with a mix control. It plays well with others before and after. (I just use it rather extreme, it does do subtle too, but I like modded Bad Monkey or EH Blogger better for subtle). Blogger into Blowtorch IS the most synthetic fuzz sound I've found. But I did just receive a Prunes and Custard. BIN Friday, came today, Monday.

It plays real nice with my OC-2 for great synthy tones, and on its own for the super groovy rock I wind up rolling out of my rig when i turn it on.
