Are you sure the J retro will work with active pickups? I am not saying it wont work, it is something you need to look in to though. A quick email to East or Best Bass Gear will probably get you the information you need.

If there turns out to be a problem with that set up, a couple of noiseless Jazz pickups like the Duncan STK-J2n's will work very nicely with the J retro.

Ya it'll be fine I even got the schematics to wire it up I choose these over the Delano's jmvc pups only because of the price they both give me the same amount of balls tonally but if it don't work then I'll know what to look for
