Another thread got me to searching Rose on the interwebs and my search turned up this.....

Well, if you are serious about this thread, there is some sarcasm that you seem to have missed. While I don't follow Machine Head (or Axl Rose, for that matter), it appears that they are making a lame joke about the vague resemblance between their new bassist, and a younger, less-porcine Axl Rose. From the link you provided, they're both pale white guys who have red hair, and a similar mustache. They really don't look that much alike, aside from those features (put the same mustache on a young Axl, and they would still look like different people).

I a huge gnr fan and yet I dont like Axl Rose lol. Playing bass maybe a good new career move, but I think he has to much of a ego to be a bass player.

I love me some Guns N Roses, they're one of my all time favorite bands.

Same goes for Machine Head, although I can't say I really care for their newest stuff. It just all sounds the same.

Love love love The Blackening. Unto The Locust is ok with a couple of choice cuts. I was not a fan of the bass drum eq on Unto The Locust album. Thought they sounded kind of muddy, lacking definition. Machine Head, Tool, Slipknot, and Type O Negative are at the top of the Frequently Played list in my iPod.

Axl Rose in Machine Head. HA!!! Got a good chuckle out of that one. Thanks for sharing!
