I've found ADADG to be quite useful with drop D guitars

Hey my name is Cooper and i'm filling in for a band that has a song in "A" tuning and a song in "B" tuning i was hoping someone could help me figure out the tuning cus i am kinda lost, my band mostly does Drop D but i have a 5 string and a 4 string so if anyone has any recommendations on which bass to use as well that would be neat. thanks!

It wasn't presented as an opinion, it was presented as a fact that bass players that worry about alternate tunings need to switch instruments because they are "doing something wrong." He had a pretty poor response to a simple question the OP stated, so he got one (actually a couple) in return. If you can't take the heat, don't $#!7 post on TB

Sean Bonniwell of the Music Machine drop tuned the guitars and bass to C# in 1966,

Sure, but did he stay in C# for every song over the course of 6 albums?
Did the bass players also tune to C#?
