Double Bass b-band statement

thanks, and I assume it's a significant improvement over the underwood?

For me the full circle is more even and doesn't have a feed back problem. It's also very good in the upper registers. I also have a realist which I use more than the full circle. Some find the realist to be to boomy. I also think the full circle may be better in the upper registers. The realist has a better bowed sound for me, but both are better for bowing than the underwood. Often the sound of the room will determine which pickup I use. I also simply like to change things up now & then. The full circle is great, I sugjest You concider the realist as well. Either way You'll do fine. The FC sounds best w/ a pre amp, the R doesn't need one.I still have an underwood as a backup. Happy hunting

I have a bass with the B band installed and I'm taking it off in favor of the Full Circle. But not because I don't like the B band's amplified sound. The B Band installs under the bridge foot and in the bridge wings and while doing a setup the pickup was removed and I noticed that the acoustic sound of the bass was quite different with the pickup removed. I reinstalled the pickup and I just don't like the way it makes the bass sound acousticlly. Plugged in it's great. Also you have to have the preamp with the B Band as the pickup requires power from the preamp to work. It's just too complex for me. I have the Full Circle on my Upton and it is simple, feedback resistant, and has little or no impact on the acoustic sound. Want to buy a B band?:D
