Good morning....this is an interesting new member intro, and maybe lengthy....
Started playing in high school - stepfather had a Kalamazoo something or other and my friends played keyboards and drums.
Fast forward...I'm 52 now...sold my last of many basses back in 2004ish...a Lakland DPLE I...was not well, pretty beat up from psoriatic arthritis and never thought I'd be able to play again. The bass was sold to a classmate of my oldest daughters with the stipulation that if he ever sold the bass, I would get the first chance at the same price. Got the call last week and got the bass last night...and it's still pristine. There are good people (and some young ones) who still honor a handshake deal...thanks Carmen!
Anyway...now I have my old friend...been a long time so I'm basically starting over. Arthritis has been in remission for about 5 years...let's see what happens.
A little more about me - IT manager, married 30 yrs this December, father (2 daughters), grandfather of 3 (1 more on the way), avid bass fisherman (not good for the hands), beer snob, and a host of other hobbies/interests....throw this back in the mix!
