Back on the hartke train!!!!!!

The first amp head I bought was the LH500 about 4 or 5 years ago. Last year I thought I needed something "better". Went out and got the Fender Rumble 500 head. Maybe I haven't found the sweet spot on the Rumble yet even though they both supposedly use the Fender tone stack but I just can't stop using the LH500. I don't gig that often but at 55 I may just suck it up and haul the lead sled Hartke & leave the Rumble at home

Ok hate to deliver bad news but I think I'm going to return the hartke due to the fact it seems to be lacking in the low end department, its more mids and highs and very punchy, nice clear tone but those earth shaking lows are a bit lacking, I'm thinking its from the cab design

Could be but there are a lot of factors. Could also be the speakers, and it could just be a sonic choice that Larry thought worked best for his customers. It's not necessarily a bad thing...I'm not real big on that giant low frequency response personally. But if it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work for you.

The HD410 is a sealed cab which often translates into a nice controlled punchy delivery that cuts through the mix well. The front ported HD115 might be more your cup of tea, but you may need two of them to achieve the same volume, but you should have more low end. I had both cabs and much preferred the 410 and thought they didn't pair well together.

Now I know for a fact that the 4.5xl isnt lacking in that department but its 99lbs smh, u have any experience with the fender rumble 410?

I could get a 4.5xl but don't want to deal with the weight even though it has castors
