back to school

first year college starts soon for me too...:bawl:

I just found out (officially) that I can move in 8am Thursday morning. I'm really really excited about it. :)

yeah, I kinda figured.. AP US history, pre-calc, physics, honors english... uuugghhhh....

I had those same classes...

oy...history and precal were harder than physics and english for me.

:) In physics, most of the time, my table-mate and I didn't pay attention. haha...we colored most of the time. :) fun stuff.

anyway...sorry...didn't mean to reminisce (I hope I spelled that right)...

:)

finally low brass players ie trombone, tuba, baritone etc are about as cool as bassist. ive forgotten how much fun it is to be in a large ensemble

Yes, we are. At least, the baritones are always cool. Tubas are second, trombones are kinda iffy. This year, though, all the tubas in band at my school are pretty not-cool. It's a shame.

Anyway, today was the first day of school for me as well. So far, I've learned that I've got to take band pictures on Wednesday (wwwhhhhaaaattt?) and that statistics is a pretty dull class. I mean it was just so freaking dry. My teacher wasn't much help either, he was pretty standard. That and it was fourth period, so I was falling asleep, not to mention it was just so dang hot outside!

And to throw in a quick story, I didn't get to school until 7:30 (school starts at 7:15). I got on the bass a little after 6, been awake since 5:30. It's very hot on the bus. Get to school, then I walk around until I actually find the homeroom class on my schedule. Since I didn't recognize anyone in there, I realize that it's tenth grade. So I go and check a piece of paper, and find a second home room which was for seniors. Then after actually asking for directions, I get to my home room. I'll tell you, it was very exhausting.

I move into my dorm tomorrow. I hope I don't have too much crap, haha. I have 3 basses and two keyboards... don't really have an amp with me as of now... just my markbass head. Hopefully I'll get an aggy 112 soon.

So glad I get to have my car though.

I'm all moved in. My room is hugeeeee. Got the 32 inch hdtv surround sound and what not. Definitely the bachelor pad. Now I just gotta figure out how to set up my music equipment... I should probably get a headphone amp, haha.

But I'm definitely digging college life so far. No parents is a fantastic relief.

Jesus Christ!
I have a 13 Inch TV without Cable!

Do you have a suite? Or do you share with someone?

At Humber, in the dorms, You have your own bedroom. You just share the kitchen and bathroom with your roommate.

Are you in a dorm? Or a house?

I have a roommate. but he has is own little subsection of the room. We have communal bathrooms, but that's OK. I like them better than 4 people or something sharing one...
