I'm auditioning for a music school, I'll have to play "Watermelon Man" by Herbie Hancock, and a freely chosen piece. I was thinking of playing Marcus Miller's "Tutu", but I'm having trouble finding a suitable backing track for either. Is there a way to remove the bass track from a song, or does anyone of any backing tracks for either of these pieces that are made for the bass?

There are several sources these days. Playjazznow. Playalongjazz. Jazzbacks. One of them must have watermelon man. If not order from aebersold.
