Double Bass Backline 115

I'm currently using this combo amp for
playing jazz and rock with acoustic and electric bass. I have a very loud drummer and it's hard to get a good sound out of the electric due to amp distortion at high levels when trying to be heard over the drummer(can't hear acoustic bass at all over drummer). I was wondering if I could somehow hook up another speaker to the backline and what options I would have. Would I be able to connect it to an old peavey tnt160 amp and get more power?

IT's a 6 ohm cabinet.. I 'd guess you'd need to convert to 12 or 16 ohm speakers.. then wire something.

Would be easier to use your XLR DI out.. convert to 1/4" then go into your TNT.

Not quite. (6 ohm cab? )

The Backline 115 combo amp has an extension speaker out, that can be connected to an 8ohm speaker cab.

Either way that combo doesn't have much power to "compete" with a loud drummer.

The acoustic bass you're talking about; is it an upright?
Or are you playing acoustic and electric BGs ?
