Bad finger tip pain!!

a2.png

Most likely you have bruised your finger padding. It takes a few days to heal but it goes away.
You can try applying a little arnica gel or cream on it (see your health food store or Pharmaca type outfit).
Once this has happened, it's likely to happen again unfortunately if you continue playing hard.
Your alternative is obvious: lighter touch or pick.

... But it hurts like heck!!! ....
I don't know from your post how old you are, but when people reach a certain age, and when they live in a winter climate like you do, some of them start getting minute cracks in the skin on their fingertips that you can hardly see but hurt like hell and refuse to heal. Take a magnifying glass and see if that's what's happening. Then if so, lay in a supply of several gallons of Liquid Bandage. I pretty much keep that company going almost by myself; I'm sure they'd appreciate another fingertip skin crack victim.

sorry, but I'm no poet

I have a aspie kid who loves science but i figured he'd just get mad at an optical microscope. So i got him a digital microscope with a 7" screen on amazon.

I have used it for splinter extraction more than all other single uses combined. Even stuff like this where... something just hurts but you don't know why. Its quite common IME for that wierd "fingertip hurts for no good reason" to be a metal sliver

I highly recommend having one around if you can come up with even the remotest excuse. It cost less than a tube screamer.
